Kitchen colour ideas and design ideas

Kim from Phoenix Kitchens worked as a Gold Coast real estate agent before becoming a kitchen designer, so here’s some ideas and advice about trending colours for your kitchen design.

Trending colours can have an impact on the resale value of your property, we can help you minimise the cost and maximise your profit when it comes to choosing the best colour and design of your kitchen.

Warm colours and cool colours

Designers are always throwing around terms such as warm colours and cool colours. But what do they mean?

Warm colours consist of orange, red, yellow, and combinations of these like terra-cotta or browns. As the name indicates, they tend to make you think of warm things like the sun, fire, heat, and earth, often used to make large rooms seem cosier.

Cool colours are typified by blue, green, light purple and combinations of these like light-blue and greys. They can calm and soothe and remind you of water and sky, even ice and snow. Great for making a room appear larger.
Whites can be either warm or cool depending on the undertones.
